We still don’t know exactly how old it is, but we DO know that on February 26, 1919, President Woodrow Wilson signed Senate Bill 390, which created Grand Canyon National Park.
Long before that, the Grand Canyon was (and still is) home to indigenous cultures. Much more important than a tourist destination, it is a sacred place.
